Resisting Babylon System One Rainbow at a Time...

I might finally be able to put my ridiculous Brightblack 3D glasses to use! This Friday the Exploratorium is hosting an overnight solar eclipse viewing party (via webcast). Sweet.
Total Eclipse Of The Heart - Bonnie Tylerwww.exploratorium.edu

Here's the schedule of events -

9 p.m.: Doors open - Continuous films, installations and exhibits related to the eclipse; Q&A with roving astronomers in white lab coats. Hot!
9 p.m.-midnight: Live music and performances from the eastern region of the Silk Road
9-11 p.m: Stargazing with San Francisco Amateur Astronomers and Sidewalk Astronomers
9 p.m.-1 a.m.: Hands-on activities exploring astronomy and Central Asian art
3 a.m.: Dragon Dancers wake-up performance
3:30 a.m.: Live Webcast of the eclipse begins
4:08-4:10 a.m.: Eclipse totality

Amazing - the Exploratorium is even hosting a solar eclipse party in Second Life. That might just be a little too nerdy, even for me.

Apparently there's only a 70-80 percent chance of clear skies in Gobi Desert on the day of the eclipse, but I'm feeling lucky!

Now I just want to go and watch Watcher in the Woods...
